We take your privacy (and your op-sec) extremely seriously.

1. What We Collect

  • Name and email address (when you fill out a form)
  • Wallet addresses and exchange API keys (read-only, never trading enabled)
  • Transaction data (CSVs, syncs from Koinly/ZenLedger/CoinLedger, etc.)
  • Any messages or files you voluntarily send us

2. What We NEVER Ask For or Store

  • Private keys or seed phrases
  • Withdrawal-enabled API keys
  • Passwords to your exchanges or wallets

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To prepare and optimize your crypto tax returns
  • To calculate your fixed-fee quote
  • To send you tax guides, updates, and your final reports
  • To improve our service (anonymized & aggregated only)

4. Security

  • All files and API connections are 256-bit AES encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Read-only API keys are deleted automatically within 24 hours of final delivery
  • Uploaded CSVs are permanently deleted 30 days after your return is delivered (unless you ask us to keep them)
  • We use reputable U.S.-based servers (AWS) with SOC 2 compliance

5. Third Parties We Work With

  • Tax software partners (Koinly, ZenLedger, CoinLedger, etc.) – only via your direct API connection or uploaded CSV
  • Payment processor (Stripe) – never sees your transaction data
  • Email provider (we use ConvertKit / Mailchimp) – only your name + email

6. Your Rights

  • You can request deletion of all your data at any time (just reply to any email or write to david@cryptotaxiseasy.com)
  • We’ll delete everything within 48 hours and confirm

7. Cookies & Tracking

  • We use basic analytics (Plausible / Google Analytics – anonymized IP) to see what pages people visit
  • No retargeting ads, no selling data, none of that

8. Changes to This Policy

  • We’ll email you if we ever make material changes.
